What's Happening at NYCC?
On Sat. Jan. 31 from 12pm to 4pm our Justice Team will host the Bridge to Justice: Youth Empowerment & Engagement Forum, in partnership with the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission, the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, and the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. This dynamic event will include a basketball clinic, lunch, youth panel discussions, and breakout sessions, all designed to promote leadership, confidence, and meaningful opportunity for young people. Today and every 3rd Sunday the Health & Wellness Ministry nurses will be available after service for blood pressure checks to help you know and understand your numbers upstairs in the conference room next to the elevator.
NYCC will be hosting the Westchester County chapter of the Links Incorporated's 2026 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Day Literary Tea here at 500 Main on Mon, Jan. 19th from 3-5pm, featuring a fireside chat with Abby Phillip, CNN anchor and author of "A Dream Deferred: Jesse Jackson and the Fight for Black Political Power", along with tributes to local Westchester county authors Bryan Collier, CJ Farley, and Cheryl McKissack Daniel.
The Men’s Ministry is hosting a Big Screen Super Bowl Party, Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026 at 6pm right here in our auditorium. Game Time. Half Time. Fun Time. Activities and competitions for the WHOLE family. Cost is just $15 to cover food and snacks. Sign up and pay here by Friday, Feb. 5th.
Every Saturday we have a Open Basketball Run for kids 12 and under from 10am-12noon every Saturday. Just call the church by Friday to let us know your child is coming. Must have a minimum of five kids.
Our Justice Team is excited to host a NACA Homebuyer Workshop on Saturday, February 28 from 10AM to 2PM. This free community workshop is designed to help individuals and families take real steps toward homeownership. NACA offers an affordable homeownership program that includes no down payment, no closing costs, no credit score requirement, below-market fixed interest rates, and free financial counseling.
