What's Happening at NYCC?

We've been asking, "How shall we live?" Now it's time to ask, "How will we live?" Join Dr. Holder for our Wednesday Bible study at 7:30 PM: a practical, interactive series which continues November 4 and November 11, where we'll take the Word we hear on Sundays and explore how to live it out every day. Let him know you're joining him for the class HERE. See you Wednesday!

Join Dr. Holder on Sundays at 11:45am for "Sunday Schooled" --  a six-week Faith and Books teaching series exploring *Original Sins: The (Mis)education of Black and Native Children and the Construction of American Racism* by Eve L. Ewing. The cost of the book is $19.50. You can order your copy from us by sending payment via Zelle to give@newyorkcovenant.com or by clicking on the circular blue icon at the bottom right corner of our website.  Come ready to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversation about faith, education, and racial justice.  We look forward to seeing you there! Isaiah's Room will again be gifting new coats to our friends this season and would appreciate your support. The recommended donation is $50 per coat, but any contribution is greatly appreciated.  Coats will be distributed on Saturday, December 19. Please keep this outreach in your prayers!  Donations can be made on the website at the blue circle icon.  Please include a note referring to Isaiah's Room Coat Drive.  See Dr. Theresa  Hedrington or Sis, Nadia Clarke with any questions.

The Wrap Party is back!  In addition to the coat drive, we will also be collecting and accepting donations for personal care items and treats for our friends in Isaiah's Room from now until December 6th which will culminate with our Wrap Party after service on December 13th!  We'll  have music and sweet treats as we gather to wrap up our gifts for our friends to offer when the coats are distributed.  We're looking for travel sized toiletries, laundry pods and low denomination Dunkin Donut gift cards!  Text the Event Planning Ministry at 914.563.1338 for details.

New York Covenant is prayerfully forming a new class of deacons. Deacons are servant leaders called to care for the needs of the congregation and support the ministry of the church, freeing the pastors to focus on prayer, preaching, and spiritual leadership. Please see Pastor Millings or Pastor Udochi if interested.

New York Covenant is seeking part-time facilities assistants to help with cleaning, auditorium setup and breakdown, and general facility maintenance. The positions involve physical tasks, including lifting and moving chairs, laying down and removing floor coverings, and helping prepare the auditorium for different uses. If you are interested or would like more information, please speak with Dr. Holder.

Journey with us through "Emotionally Healthy Discipleship" every Tuesday at 7:30 PM as we commit to growing together in faith, authentic community, and healthy spiritual rhythms. Books are available for $12 after service. Questions? See Evangelist Melissa Jackson.

Today November 1, Dr. Holder will be preaching at Bethesda Baptist Church, located at 71 Lincoln Avenue in New Rochelle, in celebration of the first pastoral anniversary of Rev. Horace Sanders. Get ready for Dr. Holder's  new 12-week message series entitled "CLOSER." What happens when we draw near to Jesus. The closer we get CLOSER.  James 4:8 says "Come near to God and He will come near to you."
